BREAKING:ADC leadership

 

Rotimi Amaechi’s value to the Atiku and ADC ticket goes far beyond infrastructure projects.

He understands how government works from both sides of the democratic table. As a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and a former governor, Amaechi knows that even the strongest president cannot transform Nigeria through executive announcements alone.

Real reform requires laws, budgets, legislative coalitions and disciplined cooperation between the Presidency and the National Assembly.

This is where Amaechi can make a historic contribution.

Before an ADC administration enters office, the party should prepare a legislative compact covering security reform, electricity, taxation, agriculture, transportation, education and youth employment. Priority bills should be drafted early, discussed with prospective lawmakers and ready for presentation within the first weeks of government.

Nigeria cannot afford another administration that spends its first year studying problems citizens have suffered for decades.

Atiku Abubakar will bring national experience, economic direction and the political relationships required to manage a complex federation. Amaechi will bring legislative knowledge, executive discipline and the ability to turn policy promises into coordinated government action.

The APC model has shown Nigerians what happens when major policies are announced without adequate consultation, preparation or protection for ordinary citizens. ADC must offer something different: reforms that are debated, costed, legislated and implemented responsibly.

The Atiku and Amaechi partnership should not merely campaign to inherit power. It should prepare to govern from the first morning.

Draft the bills. Build the legislative consensus. Cost the reforms. Set the deadlines.

Atiku will lead. Amaechi will coordinate. ADC will arrive prepared.
