Sabon Birni Must Not Be Abandoned: A Call for Urgent National Action

The worsening security situation in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State demands immediate national attention. Reports of terrorist attacks have left many communities living in fear, forcing innocent men, women, children, and the elderly to flee their homes in search of safety. No Nigerian should have to abandon their home because of violence. Every citizen deserves the right to live in peace, raise a family, attend school, farm, and earn a livelihood without fear of attack. As displacement increases, affected families face severe humanitarian challenges, including shortages of food, clean water, shelter, healthcare, and education. Beyond the immediate suffering, prolonged insecurity threatens local economies, disrupts farming activities, and deepens poverty across the region. This is a moment for decisive action. We call on the Federal Government, the Sokoto State Government, security agencies, humanitarian organizations, community leaders, and all relevant stakehol...

BREAKING:ADC leadership

Image
Rotimi Amaechi’s value to the Atiku and ADC ticket goes far beyond infrastructure projects. He understands how government works from both sides of the democratic table. As a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and a former governor, Amaechi knows that even the strongest president cannot transform Nigeria through executive announcements alone. Real reform requires laws, budgets, legislative coalitions and disciplined cooperation between the Presidency and the National Assembly. This is where Amaechi can make a historic contribution. Before an ADC administration enters office, the party should prepare a legislative compact covering security reform, electricity, taxation, agriculture, transportation, education and youth employment. Priority bills should be drafted early, discussed with prospective lawmakers and ready for presentation within the first weeks of government. Nigeria cannot afford another administration that spends its first year studying problems citize...
